OF THE CATALINA AND HUNTER FACTORIES
As the dealer located closest to the Catalina and Hunter factories, I am fortunate to have the ability to easily make arrangements for you to take a plant tour.
Whether you are ready to buy now or in the next few years, I encourage you to invest the time to visit either or both factories with me. As a former executive with several large sailboat manufactures, you may find my knowledge helpful in not only better understanding the boat building process, but also helping you make better personal evaluation of various yacht manufactures.
At the factory you will see firsthand how a yacht evolves from rolls of fiberglass and drums of resins through the various stages of production to a completed yacht. It is an amazing process accomplished by teams of dedicated craftspeople. If you have the time to visit both Hunter and Catalina, you will notice many differences in their construction techniques, yet they are both very similar boats in quality. You will certainly gain a vast amount of knowledge during the tour to help you make a more informed decision on your next boat.
The Catalina factory is located only 15 minutes from my office in St Petersburg and conveniently located only 20 minutes from the Tampa Airport. The Hunter factory is located outside of Gainsville, Florida about two hours from the Tampa Airport.
